Dance Event Descriptions

January 2008: It is possible that I could be talked into facilitating the following events, and can definately assist with organizing, promoting and producing your special event/s.
*In The Dance * is an event designed to promote the discovery of self-in-motion, and to offer a time for release and for fun, by creating a safe space for dance exploration through a variety of musical rhythms and modalities. The event music ranges from tribal to techno to trance to trip-hop to hip-hop to classics to jazz to world to instrumental to drum and bass to indie to disco to ambient to oldies... you never know what's going to happen, only that the journey will be a good ride. With each unique class, the common theme is dancing fools having fun. The event is open to everyone, no dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to come play-- IN THE DANCE

*Soul Motion Beginnings  More about Soul Motion™  here.

*Lose The Mind Leave shoes and ego at the door, enter in silence to a dance environment specifically set up for exploration of self-as-movment. Enjoy a flow of varying musical rhythms and textures that ends with a slowing down then silence, allowing an opportunity to focus on breath, heartbeat, and reconnecting with renewed self before walking out the door.

*F.L.O.W. Feminine Language Of Woman. An intimate and directed dance experience focusing on movements drawn from a variety of feminine dance modalities, including Middle Eastern, African, East Indian and modern. Some call this Temple Dancing. FLOW is technique class that also include time to explore movements learned in a jam-dance format. Witnessing and honoring each other is another aspect of FLOW classes. Costuming, working with finger cymbals, and veil work will be part of the curriculum as the class progresses. Dance in honor of your feminine self.
